Mission

At SportsTutor, our mission is to develop subtle, expressive, creative players through solid understanding and execution of fundamental techniques with objective evaluation.

What we are about....
Sportstutor is a Training Academy with the sole purpose of developing technically superior athletes.  Our program focuses on three ke
y elements:  MIND, SKILL, GAME.  We resolutely concentrate on defining the relationship between Mind (concentration) to Skill acquisition (confidence with the ball)to Game (understanding of match
situations).

"Year Round" Programs:

360 Program. This competitive program is designed for the committed player and family. It is geared toward players from u9-u12, who exhibit a willingness to learn, good athleticism, and a great attitude. This program will include two outdoor soccer seasons (fall and spring) and one indoor session (November to February). The 360 program includes defined curriculum to develop your athletes skill, footwork, mental toughness and competitive mindset.

Program dates from June through May.

Winter Program Offerings (Nov,Dec, Jan, Feb) Registration opens in October:

Soccer Mites-
This is a fun focused program for 4 and 5 year olds. While we do try to incorporate a soccer ball, the program also emphasizes basic motor skill development. This class meets once per week for 45-60 minutes for five weeks.

Development Program-
This is our most popular program.  During the five week program, classes typically meet once during the week for 60 minutes. Each session will include a technical component, individual footwork and a scrimmage. The curriculum is very balanced and should give all players a solid foundation. The focus, like all SportsTutor programs is on fundamental technique. Ages 6-12.

Refinement/Repetition (R/R)/Middle School through Varsity)-
This program is geared toward players u12 and older that desire an atmosphere focused on improving technique . A reasonable understand of basic receiving, passing, and ball striking is required. Repetition is a primary learning strategy in this class.  For students new to SportsTutor, a developmental class is strongly encouraged prior to R/R. This class is a must for all new students prior to enrolling in Technical Touch.  This class consists of two one hour training sessions per week for five weeks. Age 11-HS.

Technical Touch-
This program is designed for the serious soccer player u13 and older that has mastered basic technical skills. Technical Touch is designed to improve decision making while under pressure. Fitness is an integral component of technical touch. The correct attitude and mentality are expected. Players that do not exhibit this mentality will be moved to the R/R program. Players should be at a high select level or above average high school players and consider college soccer and beyond as realistic options. Two training session per week for five weeks.

Goalkeeping-
This is a special topics class that is offered in two levels. One, Basic goalkeeping will include fundamental body positioning, catching, distribution, foot skills, and an introduction to diving. Two, Advanced goalkeeping will build off the basic class and incorporate a much more aggressive approach-angles, shot stopping, and strategy.
